Appetites for Strangeness

For the first time in a very long time, I have a short vacation. So. I am spending the next nine days performing some approximation of this (with a little bit of writing):

Nothing like some Greek literature to put you in the mood for some fantasy. On that note, there is also a large stack of library books on fantasy, the psychology of fantasy, and fairy tales just waiting to be read by me. Being an English student is a beautiful thing, existential crises and all.

To end, one of my favourites bits, recently:

“Our appetites for strangeness are powerful”

– W. R. Irwin, The Game of the Impossible

Excuse me as I indulge mine for the next little while.
